WAYNE PATE

This is Wayne Pate's most recent work, i like how he has a rough almost child like drawing style. It looks very professional and stands out from he crowd just because of the style it has been drawing in. A lot of his recent work has this similar style and i really like it because it also sets him apart from the rest of the designers which is what every designer wants with the work they do. 

FEDERICO CABRERA

Federico Cabrera is a fashion photographer and he suck the world with his new style of photography creating a shattered perspective design. although i really like this style and how he has been able to incorporate it in to something that he loves doing i personally think that it takes your attention away from the clothes which for the fashion design would be a bit of a let down because he wants his work easily viewed however the style of the photo makes you want to look at the work because its never been done before and having something new and fresh will make everyone turn their heads.

WAYNE PATE

These are shape designs by a design called Wayne Pate, he mainly deals with shapes and how he can manipulate them in to what type of design he wants. I find his work inspirational because if he sets out to do something he does it and it works really well, i also like how the design is made of no more than 2-3 colours, this adds a a different effect that attracts your attention because the colour base is so strong. 

BUILDING MAPPING

These videos are created by a company called Macula and urbanscreen. they deal with a lot of big business and recently Macula have created a ad in japan for BMW. i first stumbled across the work when i was on youtube and then from there i have followed what they do and still wonder how they do it. this type of design is on a complete different level and to have a hand on working on something this big would be great and i do wish in the near future that i could try this out on a smaller scale. there is a whole section on youtube of other companies designs but two companies i have chose struck my eye the most with the stunning design and originality.   

INSIDE OUT

"In the design of the Pompidou Centre (Richard Rogers, Renzo Piano and Gianfranco Franchini, 1977) and the Lloyds Building (Richard Rogers, 1984) the buildings were effectively turned ‘inside out’ by placing the services on the outside. One of the architects’ aims in doing this was to maximise internal space, prioritising functional movement and flow, but it also had the effect of revealing the infrastructure to the occupants and passers-by in a way that might be considered analagous to the ‘seamful games‘ of Mathew Chalmers et al. at the University of Glasgow.

Colour-coding used for the ducts on the Pompidou Centre where blue was for air, green for fluids, yellow for electricity cables and red for movement, flow and safety made the services legible both to maintenance engineers and the general public. Accessibility of services when freed from the interior space was a further consideration in the design, with the architects acknowledging the varying rates of obsolescence of different services:
“Whereas the frame of the building has a long life expectancy, the servant areas, filled with mechanical equipment have a relatively short life, especially in this energy-critical period. The servant equipment, mechanical services, lifts, toilets, kitchens, fire stairs, and lobbies, sit loosely in the tower framework, easily accessible for maintenance, and replaceable in the case of obsolescence.”
This is a topic of perhaps even greater importance for technology with its current rate of development and lack of reliability. Which brings us tidily back round to another point in Bell and Dourish’s paper; that perhaps the goal of seamlessness is inhibiting the implementation of technologies in our everyday environment. Certainly this would seem to be the case for responsive/interactive architecture. While there are many great examples of installations, demos and interventions in the urban environment there are relatively few examples of permanent, built responsive or interactive buildings. And I wonder if a large part of this is to do with the implicit risk of embedding technological infrastructure into a building without providing for easy access to it if, and when, it fails."

I love how the building is turned inside out so that people can see what is would look like with out all the fancy over coating, i personally think the idea was very inventive because when you first see the building you are automatically struck in the face and cant stop looking at it, this is also a great sell point for the business or art exertion that is coated in this wire design.

FOUND

FFFFOUND! is a web service that not only allows the users to post and share their favorite images found on the web, but also dynamically recommends each user's tastes and interests for an inspirational image-bookmarking experience i use this website alot becuase it helps me keep to date and find new ideas which i originally wouldn't of thought about. It is quite simple to use and a lot of peoples art work has been uploaded which is good because you can find the latest trends and also you might be able to find a new up and coming artist that could be very successful.

ART

I found these images whilst on a design blog. i was disappointed because there wasn't a name to these designs which was a bit shame as i really enjoy the work that this person does. The quality of the images are of the highest standard and i think that if you can get the quality right then that is what makes your work look professional and well created. 

My favourite piece of work by this artists is the chunk of meat at the top, its carved out of wood and painted red and white. i personally think this is a striking piece of work and would love to see many different things created with wood and paint just to see the effect that it will have.
